When installing Vista on a Shuttle with DVI adapter, Vista sees my standard 19" monitor as a widescreen and the display only takes the centre of the screen. Changing the resolution from 1280x1024 to 1280x760, completely fills the display, but circles are still not round but elipses. Using the old VGA connector, everything is normal (at 1280x1024).
